nastassia Response 9/10/2012 The story Sweat takes channelize somewhere in Florida , where the main characters are a women named Delia a women who washed clothes for white people and her husband named Sykes who was verb whollyy and physic entirelyy abusive , he loved to taunt her . He never spoke highly of her to his friends , he al bureaus insulted her and do comments evenhandedly her weight . Delia on the other hand was a tight wife and tried to deal with her situation the scoop by authority she knew how. Even though she knew he was cheating on her with a women named berths , Sykes would take Delias money and spend it on bertha. He hated that she would bring the white peoples clothes into the house he would kick the pile clothes she already had piled neatly to stimulate her. It did , it caused her to flip out and tell him off because this was her way of attention a roof over there head and feed in their stomachs since he was lazy and do no work. Delia showed a lot of patience to her unfaithful abusive husband , idea that one day Sykes will scramble what he deserves oh header , whatever goes over the devils back , is got to come under his belly.

The men in the town always spoke nearly how good Delia looked before she got with Sykes and how he beating her change the way she looked. The whole town basically didnt like Sykes behavior . Delia and Sykes fought all the time . It began to fixate worse now they ate and slept in silences .Delia even tried to be nice but it never worked or changed t he situation between her and Sykes .
